Shri Ganeshayanamaha
Shri Ram Raksha Stotra Mantra. Sage: Budhakoushika. Deity: Shri Sita Ramachandra. Meter: Anushtubh
Power: Sita. Pin: Shri Hanuman. Humble request: To invoke the blessings of Shri Sita Ramachandra
Dhyana (Meditation):- One should meditate upon Shri Ramachandra, Who has long arms, holds a bow and arrow, and sits in a lotus pose. Clad in yellow garments, with eyes resembling lotus petals, radiant and serene. With Sita on His left, His lotus-like face glowing with a gentle smile. Dark as a raincloud, adorned with divine ornaments, wearing a matted crown of hair, Shri Ramachandra shines magnificently.
Stotra (Verses)
The deeds of Shri Ram, vast as hundreds of crores, Each syllable absolves one of grave sins. – 1
Meditate on Shri Ram, dark as a blue lotus, With eyes like blooming lotuses, accompanied by Sita and Lakshmana, His hair tied in a crown, adorned with a bow and quiver. – 2
The eternal, omnipresent Lord appears in His playful form, To protect the world and slay nocturnal demons. – 3
A wise person should recite the Ram Raksha Stotra, Which destroys sins and fulfills all desires.
May Shri Raghava protect my head, and Dasharatha’s son protect my forehead. – 4
May Kaushalya’s son protect my eyes, And the beloved of Sage Vishwamitra protect my ears. May the protector of sacrifices guard my nose, And may the one who loves Lakshmana safeguard my mouth. – 5
May the treasure of knowledge protect my tongue, And Bharata’s revered brother guard my throat. May He who wields divine weapons protect my shoulders, And may He who broke Shiva’s bow protect my arms. – 6
May Sita’s consort guard my hands, And the vanquisher of Parashurama protect my heart. May the destroyer of Khara protect my middle, And may the refuge of Jambavan protect my navel. – 7
May the Lord of Sugriva guard my waist, And the slayer of demons safeguard my thighs. – 8
May the destroyer of Ravana protect my knees, And the protector of Vibhishana guard my feet. -9
May Shri Ram guard my entire body & His strength bestow long life, happiness, children, and victory. -10
No beings of the earth, sky, or underworld, Can even see one protected by Shri Ram’s name. -11
Meditating upon “Ram”, “Ramabhadra” or “Ramachandra”, one remains untouched by sin and gains both worldly pleasures and liberation. -12
Carrying the single mantra of Shri Ram’s name, One gains all accomplishments & all success in hands. -13
By remembering this “Vajra Panjara” Ram Kavach, One gains uninterrupted wisdom, victory, and prosperity. – 14
As directed by Lord Shiva in a dream, Sage Budhakoushika wrote this stotra upon waking. – 15
Shri Ram is the wish-fulfilling tree among all trees, The remover of all miseries, and the delight of the three worlds. -16
May Ram and Lakshmana, endowed with youth, beauty, and might, clad in bark and black deerskin, sustain us. – 17
They who are serene, ascetic & pure are the sons of Dasharatha, the brothers Ram and Lakshmana. – 18
The refuge of all beings, supreme among archers & the destroyers of demon clans, may these Raghu warriors protect us. – 19
With bows ready and arrows touching their chests, Ram and Lakshmana, vigilant and steadfast,
May I always follow them & they walk ahead on my path, offering protection. – 20
Armed with armor, sword, and bow, and carrying arrows, a youthful and valiant Ram, along with Lakshman, fulfills our desires and protects us. – 21
Ram, the son of Dasharatha, is a valiant hero. He is accompanied by Lakshman, possesses great strength, and belongs to the illustrious Kakutstha dynasty. He is a perfect man, born of Kausalya, and the best among the Raghu lineage. – 22
Known through the Vedas, the Lord of sacrifices, the eternal and supreme being, Ram is the beloved of Janaki (Sita). He is full of glory and possesses immeasurable valor. – 23
A devotee who chants these names daily with faith and devotion achieves merit greater than that of performing the Ashwamedha sacrifice. There is no doubt about this. – 24
Those who praise Ram, dark as the Durva grass, lotus-eyed, and clad in yellow garments, with divine names, are freed from worldly bondage. – 25
I bow to Ram, elder brother of Lakshman, the best of the Raghus, husband of Sita, beautiful and compassionate. He is the treasure of virtues, beloved of the learned, righteous, king among kings, true to his word, son of Dasharatha, calm and dark-complexioned. He is adored by the world, the jewel of the Raghu dynasty, and the enemy of Ravana. – 26
Salutations to Ram, Ramabhadra, Ramachandra, the creator, Raghunatha, the protector, and husband of Sita. – 27
Hail to Shri Ram! Glory to Ram, the delight of the Raghu clan, elder brother of Bharat, and the fierce warrior. O Ram, be our refuge! – 28
I meditate upon the feet of Shri Ramchandra with my mind. I glorify them with my speech, bow to them with my head, and surrender to them as my refuge. – 29
Ram is my mother, Ramchandra my father. Ram is my master, and Ramchandra my friend. Ramchandra, the compassionate, is my everything. I know none other, truly none. – 30
I bow to the son of the Raghu dynasty, Ram, who has Lakshman to his right, Janaki (Sita) to his left, and Hanuman in front. – 31
I seek refuge in Shri Ramchandra, who is pleasing to the world, steadfast in battle, lotus-eyed, the lord of the Raghu dynasty, the embodiment of compassion, and a treasure of mercy. – 32
I surrender to Hanuman, the messenger of Shri Ram, swift as the mind, equal to the wind in speed, master of the senses, supreme among the wise, son of the wind god, and leader of the monkey army. – 33
I bow to Valmiki, the cuckoo among poets, who sweetly sings the name ‘Ram’ while perched on the tree of poetry. – 34
I repeatedly bow to Shri Ram, the remover of obstacles, the giver of all prosperity, and the delight of the world. – 35
The chant of ‘Ram, Ram’ burns the seeds of worldly existence, brings forth joy and prosperity, and terrifies the messengers of death. – 36
Glory to Ram, the jewel among kings, who always triumphs. I worship Ram, the lord of Lakshmi. Salutations to Ram, by whom the armies of demons are destroyed. There is no refuge higher than Ram. I am Ram’s servant. May my mind always rest in Ram. O Ram, uplift me! – 37
Chanting ‘Ram, Ram,’ is as pleasing as it is delightful. O beautiful lady, the name of Ram is equivalent to reciting a thousand names of God. – 38
