Kalbhairav ashtakam is a praise of Lord Kaal Bhairav & was composed by Adi Shankaracharya. Adi Shankaracharya was born in 509 BCE. So this is a really ancient hymn which is sung & recited by devotees to appease Lord Kal Bhairav.
