The given Divine, Vedic, Hindu remedies, rituals & procedures when adopted in life can completely negate all the bad & malefic effects of planets in your birth chart. It is imperative to understand that these remedies need time to start showing their effects once they have been adopted.

It’s not as if these remedies are closely guarded secrets. They have been known to the ancestors of Hindus since log. The forefathers of Hindus used to follow these procedures. In fact they had made a lot of these remedies a part of their lives.

Which means that they did not consider it as a special effort to follow these procedures & did not question for how long they have to do it. They just made a lot of these remedies a part of their daily routine. The point is if you make them a part of your daily life routine, then you won’t feel that it is a burden or any kind of laborious effort is involved in performing these remedies.

How to get ‘lucky’ with certainty?

If you are working hard, yet you are not getting the desired results, maybe “luck” is not on your side. Then may be its time to seek divine help in getting “lucky”. In materialistic world if someone becomes successful, you will hear people say, “he/she got lucky… he/she was lucky… etc”.

But the matter of fact from Indian perspective is that some planets were retrograde in your birth chart which were the cause of struggle in your life. And after performing the remedies you managed to mitigate the malefic effects to some extent.

One needs to keep performing the remedies regularly, as advised, for at least 1 year. Sometimes the remedies can start showing desired positive effect within a couple of months. Sometimes they might take more time than expected. How soon will the effects of the remedies be visible depends broadly on two factors:-

1) How intensely are the planet’s malefic effects affecting the individual’s life?

2) How many & how grave are the bad deeds(bad karma) of previous life which are bringing problems & grief in the present & the future life of the individual

Thus one must patiently carry on with the remedial procedures for a while. Let us go through all these procedures one by one.

1) Offering water to the Sun God(arghya to Surya dev)

Offering water to appease the Sun God! This is how the day needs to start. The exact method is to fill up fresh water in a copper vessel(lotaa in Hindi). Along with water, ideally put some sugar or a bit of jaggery, a few whole(not broken) rice grains & red vermillion(sindoor) in the vessel along with a red flower. Or simply take water in a copper vessel along with a bit of sugar immersed in the water.

Then stand facing the rising sun such that the sunrays are falling on your face. Now offer water to the Sun God with both the hands raised such that a thin stream of water is falling from the vessel & you see the sun through the stream of water, that is falling down. This needs to be done daily.

It is imperative that one gets up before sunrise so that you are offering water to the rising sun, when the color of the sun is orange. One must do it on all days of the week & make it a part of your daily routine.

The process needs to be done within the first hour after sunrise for best & quick results.

Recite Aditya Hriday Stotram facing the Sun.

To enhance this process of worshipping the Sun God & to amplify the positive results, one must recite the Aditya Hriday Stotram thrice after offering water to the Sun God.

2) Offering water & milk to Pipal tree(Sacred Fig or Ficus Religiosa) – NOT on Sundays

The method of offering water to the Pipal tree remains same as that of offering water to the Sun God ie take water in a copper vessel & pour it as an offering on the roots of the Pipal tree. You can also add black sesame seeds & sugar or jaggery in the water before offering it to the Pipal tree.

On Saturdays, Mondays & Tuesdays one can offer milk(the milk must be raw, not boiled), instead of water, in a steel vessel(milk must NOT be offered in Copper vessel). If one cannot offer a glass of milk then one can mix a little bit of water along with the milk & sugar/jaggery with black sesame seeds.

Offering milk mixed with black sesame seeds to Pipal tree on Saturdays

Offering black sesame seeds & sugar/jaggery mixed with milk on the roots of Pipal trees on Saturdays has a special significance. It wards off the ill effects of Saturn & Rahu. This remedial procedure done on Saturdays has a very huge significance.

After the offering is made at the roots of the Pipal tree, one must perform at least 11 circumambulations around the Sacred Fig or Ficus Religiosa tree(if time permits, one can perform 21 or 51 or 108 circumambulations).

One can offer water in the duration between after sunrise & before sunset. But the most ideal time is in the morning after sunrise.

Never ever touch or offer water to the Sacred Fig on Sundays.

Be sure to touch the tree & if possible embrace it as if you are embracing your father/mother & seeking blessings. This Pipal tree or the Sacred Fig / Ficus Religiosa is considered to be very sacred in Hinduism.

3) Offerings to the Holy Indian Cow(Desi Gaai)

One needs to feed fresh green grass or sweets or fruits or soft loaf of bread with jaggery(roti with jaggery) to the Indian Cow. One can do this at any time everyday. Do it for 365 days in a year if possible & see the magic how your life gets completely transformed.

The Indian Cow is considered holy & the Hindus regard the Holy Indian Cow as their mother. The great Indian God, Lord Shri Krishna was very fond of cows & he spent his childhood playing along with the cows & their calves. Lord Shri Krishna, the Indian scriptures, kings & emperors like Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Maharana Pratap & various saints & wise men since ancient times have all emphasized the importance of cows & their worship in the lives of human beings.

4) Offering food grains to birds

It is customary to feed food grains like lentils, rice, pulses, grams, green grams soaked in water overnight, corn, peanuts etc to the birds. Pigeons, sparrows & other small birds happily feed on these items in the raw form.

If there are crows or ravens around your residence, feed them rice & curds, sweets or offer them whatever has been cooked at home. Do this for 365 days & observe the positive changes happening in your life.

5) Offering food to the street dogs

Offer what you eat at home, to the street dogs. Remember whatever you are offering must not be too sweet or too spicy or salty. If it’s too spicy/salty dogs may not even eat it, but dogs might eat sweets, sweet biscuits etc. Too much of sweet items are not good for dogs’ health.

Is feeding pet dogs also a part of remedial procedure?

The pet dogs(whether the dog is your pet or someone else’s pet) do not face any crisis for their daily meals. But for the street dogs, getting every meal in their life is a struggle. Because they have to look for the leftover items, go searching for their food in garbage cans & other places. Sometimes they have to fight with multiple dogs just to get a bite from a loaf of bread.

So if you do not get even one street dog to feed for the day, then you can consider feeding a pet dog assuming something is better than nothing. Feeding street dogs is considered as a very good deed in Hinduism. In fact, feeding any living being is considered an extremely good & a virtuous deed in Hinduism.

6) Feeding ants.

You can prepare a mixture of wheat flour with very finely grounded sugar & keep it in a small bottle with you. Whether it is red ants or black ants or those huge black ants, feeding all of them is considered as an extremely virtuous deed.

7) Fasting on auspicious days like MahaShivratri, Janmashtami, Ekadashi etc – Vrat

Ekadashi is a day that falls twice every month according to the Hindu calendar. Other highly pious & auspicious dates like Janmashtami & MahaShivratri fall once each, in a year. Observing fasts on these dates helps the individuals to get rid of ones bad karmas of previous lives according to the scriptures & Gods of Hinduism.

8) Jap or Mantra jap or chantings & recitations of holy hymns, verses & praises of Gods

Continuously repeating a mantra like “Om” is known as chanting of the mantra “Om”. In Hindi, chanting is known as jap or jaap. Mantra chanting is known as mantra jaap. Normally people do chanting & count the number of chants with a rosary bead. People do path or recitations of various hymns, praises like chalisas(Shri Hanuman Chalisa, Sri Durga Chalisa etc), stotrams(Sri Siddha Kunjika Stotram, Sri Kanakdhara Stotram etc), kavachs(Bhairav Kavachs, Sri MahaLami Kavach etc)…

Some people chant these stotras/mantras only for a specific time(a few months/years) as remedies, as they have been advised.

The fundamental concept behind these chantings & recitations is that it needs to be done with utmost focus, devotion & dedication towards that particular deity. The more acute is the concentration & higher is the degree of devotion, more quickly the results of the chants & recitations get manifested. Some of the divine mantras are given here-

What is Trikaal Sandhya? Best time for chanting & mantra jap

Trikaal Sandhya is the process of praying 3 times a day ie during sunrise, at 12.00 noon & during sunset. Trikaal means 3 times. Sandhya has multiple meanings. The contextual meaning here is that one where the word is derived from sandhi ie the junction or joining of 2 things(here phases of the day). During the time of Sandhya(Sandhi kaal) both phases are present, the one that is elapsing but has not completely elapsed & the one that is arriving but has not completely arrived.

At sunrise there are 2 phases of the day being joined at the node/time of actual sunrise. The night(just before sunrise) & the day(just after sunrise). At 12.00 noon 2 phases of the day are being joined ie before noon & after noon. At sunset, 2 phases ie just before sunset & just after sunset, 2 phases of the day are being joined at the time of actual sunset. Praying & chanting should start at least 15 minutes before the start of Sandhya(sunrise, 12.00 noon, sunset) & continue till at least 10 minutes after Sandhya.

The best time to start mantra chanting is 75 minutes before sunrise(brahma muhurat). The Hindu scriptures, the wise & the learned men advise to do Trikaal Sandhya. The more is the mantra jaap & path done, the better it is.

9) Offering water to the sacred Shivling in a nearby temple

If the Shiva temple is nearby then you can offer water, taken in a copper vessel, to the sacred Shivling in the temple from sunrise to noon. One can do this 365 days a year. One can also make various other offerings like offering milk, ghee, sugarcane juice, curds, panchamrit, thornapples or jimsonweeds(daturaa), woodapple(bilva patra) leaf etc to the Shivling.

If it is not possible do make offerings to the Shivling in the temple daily then one must make the offerings on Saturdays, Mondays & the days of weekoffs(holidays) every week, without fail.

10) Reciting Anjaneya Chalisa or Sri Hanuman Chalisa everyday

Lord Hanuman is also known as Anjaneya God as Anjani is the mother of Lord Hanuman. Sri Hanuman Chalisa is a hymn which was composed & created by the great Saint & poet Sri Tulsidas in the 15th century. It is made up of 40 verses(dohas) about Lord Hanuman.

It is a must to recite Hanuman Chalisa once, everyday. If possible one must recite Sri Hanuman Chalisa 7 times everyday, especially on Saturdays & Tuesdays.

11) Reciting Sri Vishnu Sahasra naam

Shri Vishnu Sahasranam is the recitation of 1000 names of Lord Vishnu. It was recited by Bheeshma Pitamaha when he was lying on the bed of arrows, in the presence of Lord Krishna during the Mahabharat war. Recitation of Sri Vishnu Sahasranam pleases Lord Vishnu & it is considered as a great remedial procedure to ward off the negative effects of all the planets.

Recitation of Sri Vishnu Sahasranam is strongly recommended on all days of the weeks, especially on Wednesdays as Lord Vishnu is considered as the presiding deity of the planet Mercury(Budh grah). Please click here to read the Sri Vishnu Sahasranam in English
